The Advertising & Marketing Independent Network (AMIN) Worldwide announced that Ali Mahaffy, co-CEO of Signal Theory, has been selected as global board chair of AMIN Worldwide for a one-year term beginning July 2025 through June 2026.

Mahaffy brings decades of agency leadership and management experience to the role. Her appointment positions AMIN to leverage Signal Theory’s global market insights to strengthen the independent agency network worldwide.

“I’m honored to take on this leadership role at such a pivotal time for independent agencies,” said Mahaffy. “Our current client roster already includes international brands with reach into Asia, Europe, North America and South America, which gives us even more exposure to service clients worldwide. This global perspective will be invaluable as we work to keep the independent network strong and competitive. I’m committed to ensuring our AMIN member agencies have the resources and connections they need to thrive in an increasingly complex marketplace.”

Mahaffy’s Previous AMIN Worldwide Experience

Mahaffy previously served as AMIN Americas president from 2021 to 2023, in addition to prior leadership roles on the board since 2017, giving her deep knowledge of the network’s operations and strategic priorities. She will build on that experience to guide AMIN’s global initiatives and support the network’s continued expansion across international markets. In addition to the global role, she’ll continue to contribute as a board member at large for AMIN Americas.

Outgoing global chair Phil Huzzard, co-founder and agency principal at DPR&Co, who previously led the global board, expressed confidence in Mahaffy’s leadership. “Ali’s vision, experience and dedication to AMIN make her the ideal leader for this next chapter. She has enormous talent and amazing leadership qualities, plus the forward thinking we need to shape AMIN Worldwide as the leading network for independent agencies,” said Huzzard.

AMIN's Global Board Connects Americas, EMEA and APAC Regions

The AMIN Worldwide global board is responsible for providing oversight and governance on global matters, guiding the organization’s three regional boards – Americas, EMEA and APAC – and setting strategic priorities for the network. The board’s core focus areas include fostering collaboration across regions, driving membership growth and showcasing the network’s continued relevance in a rapidly evolving marketing landscape. The global board chair position rotates biennially among the three regions, reflecting AMIN’s commitment to diverse leadership and global perspective.

“I am humbled to serve as global board chair and to work alongside such a talented group of agency leaders from around the world,” said Mahaffy. “AMIN’s strength lies in our ability to connect independent agencies across borders, share knowledge and drive innovation for our clients. I look forward to building on the strong foundation established by Phil Huzzard and the global board.”
